We were called to the home of this couple who have two young children because they had been experiencing unexplained activity, which took the form of things being pushed off counter tops in the kitchen, bathroom taps randomly turning on and off, shadows and noises in the kitchen and being pushed in the shower, and on one occaision when the child was sitting on a kitchen work top , said a old lady had pushed her hand on the hot kettle.

The gentleman of the house had always wanted to live in a haunted house, so wasn't to worried for himself, but was very concerned when one of his children kept seeing an old lady in the bedroom. Consequently the little one was afraid to go in the room to play and would not sleep in the room at all.

We made our initial visit quite a few months ago. It was early afternoon when we arrived, so still daylight and not eerie at all. We had a good look round to get the feel of the place and found a strong energy in the porchway, bathroom and the childs bedroom which is above the bathroom area.

On moving up to the bedroom Penny and Val could see strange orbs of light moving around the bedroom, mainly above the childs headboard . Val put her finger into one of the balls of light and got a painful electric shock feeling, the crack was very loud and brought Tracey and the client in from the main bedroom to see what was wrong. Later Val noticed her nail was cracked almost all the way down to the base of the nail. We have never experienced this strange and unusual occurence.

On returning to the living room Penny thought she saw a black shadow go accross the kitchen and heard a voice , but the three of us and the client were all present in the living room , so we were all accounted for . It made us look forward to a interesting investigation.

We arrived at our client's home between 7.30 and 8.00 pm. We were made very welcome and we started the evening chatting about all things paranormal. The gentleman of the house has had many experiences of 'strange' events, in his life and it was very interesting to hear his stories.

Because of our intial visit we had already planned where we wanted to put our cameras, so we quickly began setting them up: One focused into the porchway,between the kitchen and bathroom as we had experienced a lot of energy built up there before. We had one set up in the kitchen to see if we could capture anything where the child had experienced the kettle burning sensations. A further two cameras were deployed upstairs, one in the main bedroom and one in the child's bedroom, focusing mainly in the area that the old lady had been seen, which, incidentally was directly in line with the active porch area downstairs. With cameras up and running we sat watching the monitors whilst our hosts were getting ready to go out.

Carl arrived at around 10 pm and, as is usual for him, he had already 'tuned in', earlier before his arrival and sensed a 'grand father' figure. He described the man to our clients and it became apparent that their grandfathers were, characteristically, very similar indeed. So there was a little confusion as to who he (the grandfather) belonged to. After Carl gave them more details it was decided that he best resembled the gentleman's relative. The message that followed confirmed it and gave our client some food for thought and some homework to do, in order to help his grandad rest in peace.

Our client's left us at about 10.30pm and with lights out we settled into the quiet. Very soon Val could hear whispering and low pitched mumbling sounds coming from the kitchen, which was just to her left. Carl could hear the 'voices' too. We all listened for a while and still only Carl and Val could hear the sounds. Penny decided to go and sit in the kitchen to see if she could feel anything. From then the noises had stopped and Penny could feel nothing unsual in there at all.

Carl joined Penny in the kitchen and then into the bathroom. Carl picked up on an old lady singing and laughing to herself as she shuffled around. He got the feeling she was going out the back to fetch some coal in for the fire. Carl got the name joyce with this lady but wasn't sure if it was her name or if she was trying to tell him about someone called Joyce.

We re-grouped in the lounge and all watched the monitors for a bit. Whilst there Tradcey saw a dark shadow cross the kitchen, on the monitor. Val has viewed the footage that we took several times and has not managed to find it, we are not sure if it is evading us or if we just didn't catch it on our film.

Next Carl and Tracey went upstairs to the child's room. Val and Penny knew before hand that a mother and daughter had previously lived in the house, but didn't know much about them and what had happened to them . It seemed that the older of the two ladies had passed first and some how lost track of her daughter, so she visited the house regularly in search of her. Carl, felt strongly, that the 'older' lady would move on if we could find her daughter.

Carl had to leave at this point.

After a brief discussion, it was decided that we would try and help the lady find the peace she deserved. So the three of us ventured upstairs to see what we could do to help. On entering the bedroom Val felt very dizzy and had to steady herself by the door frame. Tracey and Penny couldn't feel anything initially but gradually the room got colder and colder as Tracey began to call the lady forward. All three of us felt very very icy cold as if sitting in a fridge. Tracey talked the lady through the transition from our world to the next . This took quite some time and as she (Tracey) was doing so she saw the lady at the light and there were three hands extended towards , her daughter which she was looking for was there as well. Penny could also see the lady at the light but with two people waiting - this she thought may have been influenced by what Tracey was saying, she (Penny) could not be sure. While this was happening we were recording it and managed to capture some interesting footage ( shown below ) because as we were calling to the lady to come forward and were feeling the coldness, orbs can be seen gathering in the room to verify our feelings.

Once we were happy that the lady was safe with her family and with things falling quiet over the house we decided to pack away our equipment and call it a night. All in all we had a very interesting evening. We would like to thank our clients for trusting us alone, in their home, as they had to change their plans, and go out, at the last minute.We asked our clients to get in touch with us if the lady should return or there were any problems , but things seem to be quiet.
