We were contacted, by a lady who had been experiencing 'activity' for quite some time. Her home had formally belonged to her sister, who had also experienced some 'odd' occurrences. She told us how she loved the house completely and would not want to move, but that the activity is at best 'odd' and at worst very scary indeed. The main problem for her was a spirit which made it's presence felt in the main bedroom. This used to belong to a younger member of the family until it got to scary for him to sleep in there.

The lady of the house, explained that the presence did not like men at all. Nigel and Allison's research of the property had already unearthed some interesting information (which they had, obviously, not divulged to other members of the team) so Nigel was 'happy' to settle in for a lone vigil later. This spirit also didn't like pregnant women. When she was pregnant she had several unpleasant, to say the least, experiences. Also when taking photo's of a friend, who was pregnant, two different camera's refused to work when previously and subsequently they had been fine.

We were welcomed into this lovely home by an apprehensive, slightly nervous, host. With introductions over, and after a brief chat, we unloaded our equipment from the car and got stuck straight in:

Our client began showing us around. First port of call was her own bedroom, which had been the 'epicentre' of her problems.

On entering the room, all of the team felt it's sense of foreboding and despite the radiator giving out plenty of heat, all of the team felt icy cold.

Nigel and Allison began recording base temperatures and scanning with the EMF meter for any signs of 'activity'. Sure enough the EMF registered a high level of activity at the right hand side of the bed, which is where our client had so often experienced this cold overwhelming, presence. Nigel was careful to eliminate all other sources, which may have registered such a reaction on the EMF. With all other possibilities explored and eliminated the team were satisfied that the readings were possibly due to the unseen spirit who had been described to us earlier.

Tracey was also picking up activity with her divining crystal. So as Nigel, Allison and our client moved into bedroom 2, Val, Tracey and Penny stayed in the main bedroom to see if the activity could be harnessed into finding out more information.

Val picked up that the spirit's wife had had an affair and got pregnant with the other man's child (which was confirmed by the crystal activity). Tracey concurred with this and added that both 'mother' and child died in childbirth. It also transpired that the man, sadly, took his own life as a result of these events.

With this continuing activity in the main room and high EMF readings in bedroom 2 the team headed downstairs to discuss positioning of cameras and a plan of action. Once the cameras were up and running Val, Tracey and Penny went back upstairs. This time Val and Tracey went in the main bedroom and Penny went into bedroom 2. While in the main bedroom a interesting photo was taken [shown here], and although nothing happened a intimidating presence was strongly felt, and both were pleased when it was time to leave the room.

Meanwhile, Penny was seeing 'dancing' white lights from time to time and kept shivering (some one stepping on our grave feeling). She also picked up the name of 'Sean'.

As things went quiet upstairs the trio decided to head back and send Nigel on his 'eagerly anticipated' lone vigil.

It wasn't long before we were witnessing 'orb activity' as a direct response to the questions he was asking (we were able to watch, live, cctv footage on our monitor). After a short while of contact, with the spirit, Nigel invited our client to join him and try to find answers to some of her own questions. From our vantage point downstairs we could clearly see the lights of the EMF meter respond to our client as she held the meter herself and communicated with him.

Again, after a period of communication with the spirit Nigel asked for a couple more team members to see if we could persuade our spirit to move on and leave the family in peace and also get some peace for himself. Tracey and Penny went up to the room. It was at this point that Nigel explained the spirit was of a WW1 veteran who had been, posthumously, awarded the George Cross for his extremely brave actions overseas. It soon became apparent that he was not ready to continue his journey towards the light but with our client feeling very much happier after this positive experience we decided to go downstairs for a well deserved break. Almost as soon as we got downstairs our cameras picked up a host of 'orb activity' coming down too. When we first viewed this footage we were very excited and thought it was a partial manifestation of the spirit, however having viewed it several times we see lots of different things. The client and her son also felt the presence of a child, her son would also play with the little spirit girl and they would call her Bangaur. They would often play together in the lounge and, over time, the spirit girl also allowed her presence to be felt by the client, however the girl was very shy of anyone else and would hide, so although she would not let us make contact with her, but, as the video shows, when someone walked into the lounge she would hide, but went someone left the room a orb would suddenly appear and do a "little dance", this happened many times.

Penny, Tracey and Val then went up to the main bedroom to have another try to persuade the spirit to leave, the spirit did draw close and a promise made that if our client put up a plaque in memory of his bravery he would either leave or not be so prominent. The client was then called up to see if the room was any"easier" and she confirmed that it felt better, although the presence was still there.

After this Tracey and Allison went into the bedroom 2 to see if the spirit girl would make contact with them, as she also played in this room, they talked to her and sang nursery rhymes and the girl went very close to Allison, this was apparent by Allison feeling very cold, orbs were,also, seen to gather round her, but again no contact could be made.

We had had a very packed but very interesting evening. Our client was relaxed and happy when we left her and although the spirit is still in the house he is not causing so much mayhem. The little boy is no longer aware of him now either.

UPDATE: 12.06.10

Since our last contact with the client we found that things had been quite peaceful for a while but gradually the spirit was becoming more and more troublesome again and beginning to affect her son again. We had a cancellation in our busy schedule and were happy to return and see if we could help:

Our new medium, Carl, had already picked up on a few things before we arrived, even though we hadn't discussed our previous visit, for obvious reasons. He had picked up on an angry seafarer; with rotten teeth, wearing waterproofs and a sou'wester hat, also a proud military (army) man in the house. Initially he thought that he had his wires crossed because, another, future, investigation was on his mind. However, as soon as he entered our client's property he knew he was up against the very angry seaman, and could also sense the military fellow too. He was able to describe these two characters to Nigel and Allison, who had arrived with him, slightly earlier than Val, Tracey and Penny.

Carl could feel the extreme strength of this spirit and was eager to get going and see what the evening ahead had in store for us.

We set our camera's up, almost exactly as before. Val and Tracey sat in front of the monitors, Nigel and Allison set off to get the base readings and Penny and Carl sat in the lounge to have a chat about his early feelings.

Whilst in the lounge Carl saw a black orb by the fire place, he couldn't find an explanation for this. He soon became aware of a a young woman with a baby in her arms. The woman was very distressed and appeared be trying to escape a fire. Later Carl thought the fire may be due to bombing raid. A little later Carl also picked up on a little girl with the family who was also distressed and the woman was tying to tend to the children and escape the fire. Carl said they were ready to cross over, but as the investigation was not really under way he put a white light around them and we promised to come back, later, and help. Carl was picking up on the strong military presence of the spirit we had encountered before. He said this spirit stayed mainly on the ground floor but would venture upstairs if he had a mind to. He described a man with and commented on his medals, particularly the medal he won for bravery. He picked up on a couple of names but as yet we have not been able to confirm or discount this 'evidence'.

We all met back to base and discussed our next more. Nigel and Allison stayed with the monitors, Tracey and Penny went to the second bedroom and Val, Carl and our client headed for the main bedroom. The second bedroom was very quiet. Tracey had a couple of coughing fits which she attributed to spirit, a couple of times she felt the bed (which she was sitting on) move. Penny was sat on the floor and began rocking back and forth but did not come up with any evidence of any spirit activity.

Meanwhile, in the main bedroom, things were quite different. Carl was describing the Sea faring chap as, a very strong presence, who wasn't at all happy that we were there. He, the seafarer, was stomping around the room 'throwing his weight about'. Val and our client were sat on the bed and our client was touched (by the spirit). Both Val and our client felt 'him' in between them. The K2 meter, held by our client, lit up. Val felt as it the spirit was draining her energy she was feeling cold and becoming agitated. The meter energy drained as did the batteries on our walkie talkie. The three of them heard loud knocking and whilst trying to locate the area from which the knocking came, they heard a snarling, growling sound. Val saw a 'spirit wisp' heading towards the bedroom wall, she immediately alerted Carl, who was able to see a small, old woman walking through the wall. Our client confirmed that the people in the next door property had reported seeing and old woman spirit in their home. After hearing more snarling sounds, they called Tracey and Penny through to see if they could pick up on anything but all seemed calmer.

Again, we regrouped downstairs and decided our next move. This time Val and Penny stayed with the monitors, Nigel and Tracey went into the lounge and Allison, Carl and our client went back to the main bedroom.

The atmosphere in the main bedroom was very tense and after a bit more communication with Carl, he [Carl] decided it was time to help the, less reluctant, spirit to cross over. The atmosphere changed and the room became calm and peaceful again. The time was just before 11pm.

Downstairs in the lounge Tracey was picking up on two children, a little girl who she thought looked about 6 years old and a little boy who appeared to be about 3. She also picked up names with these children, which again, have yet to be confirmed or discounted. Again just before 11pm Nigel began to feel tremendous pressure in and around his head, whilst Tracey felt that her left eye had fallen out of its socket.

Meanwhile, at the monitors, although Val and Penny couldn't see activity on the monitors Val became aware of a spirit presence in the kitchen. She took several photo's on which 'orbs' were caught. She moved one of the camera''s around so that we could monitor that area and, aside from a few small 'orbs', nothing interesting was caught. At 10.57pm Val began to feel a tightness in her chest with a pain going right through to her back, fortunately for Val, this lasted only a minutes before the feelings left her.

With all areas calm and no sign of 'orb' or any other activity for a while, each group headed back to base. It soon became clear that the area around 11pm proved quite significant, with each group experiencing strange activity at the same time as the spirit crossed over.

Next, Val and Carl were going to the lounge to help the spirits there. As Val got up to leave the monitors she noticed a large 'light anomaly' (shown on the video below). On entering the lounge she witnessed several large balls of while light, these were more of a 2D type shape than the 3D 'orbs' which we are accustomed to seeing. The shape changes from white to orange, back to white and then, just as Carl was assisting the 'family's' crossing the white light turned, very briefly to a more green, mother of pearl, type colour. As Carl said they were passing it changed to the brilliant white and disappeared.

With all spirits and earthly beings satisfied, at least for now, we decided to call an end to a very exciting evening. Hopefully all will be well, but if not the client is more than welcome to contact us again.
