We were contacted by a local hotel to see some cctv footage of a spirit caught on camera, Penny and i went along for a look, the owners were very kind and not only showed us the clips, but gave us a quick tour of the hotel and kindly invited us to come for a investigation.

The video footage was so impressive that the rest of the group couldn't wait for the investigation. Armed with basic equipment a camera and a emf meter we went back, this time when we were shown around the bar area seemed to buzz with activity. Val picked up a spirit of a man at the bar and sensed he was watching the group with interest. Val also noticed him take a seat on the couch. She took a picture and a large bright orb was caught, meanwhile, Tracey was also picking up on a spirit standing behind her Nigel was able to verify this as the emf meter was spiking in acknowledgement of these spirits.

Next was one of the guest rooms where the owner had experienced a spirit sitting on the bed, whilst we were all in there, Val felt a spirit pass her and enter the room, on hearing this Nigel again checked out the bed area, with the emf, and managed to "trace"the outline of a figure sitting on the bed, he tried to "debunk" this but couldn't, then suddenly,the spirit just vanished. The team then completed the tour with nothing else happening.

We returned on the 4th feb at about 8.30 to begin the investigation, Nigel and Allison talk to the owners about the experiences they had. Their daughter hears footsteps in the corridor near her bedroom when the hotel is empty, and the owners also hear footsteps at certain times also when no one there. Orbs are seen and spirits are captured on a regular basis, on cctv footage. The owners have also tried to find a explanation but with no success. When they had some television technicians staying with them, whom they were able to ask about the cctv footage. The TV people tried to find other explanations: Was it reflection from a light? A moth in front of the camera? The even tried experiments to replicate the images but found no logical explanation for it.

Meanwhile Penny, Tracey and Val walked around to get the feel of the place. Nigel and Allison set up the equipment and took base readings. Cameras covered the bar area and the two most active bedrooms. While a stealth camera was set up in the corridor, outside the owners daughter's bedroom, then the investigation began.

We sat in the bar area for a while, but things were very quite, then we wandered in the restaurant and a few orbs were caught these also quickly disappeared.

As we were not picking up on anything downstairs we decided to go upstairs and spread our selves along the corridor, where footsteps had been heard, we stayed there for a while but again we found nothing. Whilst sitting in the corridor, Val was in a position where she could also could see the stairs and landing. Feeling something to the left of her she, quickly, took a photo and a bright orb was captured on the stairs. This also disappeared as quickly as it had arrived.

Next we decided to seal off one of the active bedrooms with leaving the camera rolling. We hoped this would encourage spirits to cooperate, as they certainly weren't so far. On the next landing Allison and Nigel were watching the other bedroom on the tv monitor and noted that there was slight orb activity. They called to us to sit in the room to try and communicate with spirit. On entering the room we did feel a presence and Penny came up with a name [Sydney], he was a tall thin man with short, curly, brown hair. He wore a white shirt with a 'ruff' collar, and a turquoise jacket. On taking photos we caught orbs around Penny. After a while, we saw shadows in the doorway and a orange light, at this point we put more cameras in the room in case we could capture something, after a while when all went quiet, we left for a break.

Through out the night we patrolled the hotel in the hope of sensing something interesting. Later when we returned to the bar area, Penny again picked up the presence of a man in his 60's dressed in a formal, dark, suit, sitting at the bar looking at his pocket watch. After a while he left, indicating that he was heading to his favourite bar for a tipple. As things went quiet again, and it was getting on for 3.am, we decided to go for one last walk around. We headed for the most active bedroom. Penny and Tracey went in while Val watched on the tv monitor. Nothing was happening in the bedroom, however, Val noticed she wasn't alone, watching with her at the monitor, she sensed a presence standing with her making her extremely cold, but in no time at all it disappeared.

As all was quiet we decided to call it a day and pack up. We were a bit disappointed that the spirits hadn't decided to play that evening, but as all hardened ghost hunters know this often happens, it seems they know we are coming and go into hiding!!
